the Foil assist OPEN is categorised by the rider motoring into a wave with an assist system to ride that wave or using foil assist to connect onto another, or multiple waves.
Riders will be judged on the speed, power, flow, positioning and technicality whilst riding.
Foil assisst will be categorised as having a battery and propulsion system which can be lifted out of the water. All systems will be treated equal. E-foils / motor pods in the lower half of the mast will not be permitted in the competition
