The kernow foil classic day sessions will run as a mobile pop up event.
the location and time window will be chosen 24 hours before based on the forecast and competition discipline. All event participants will notified of demo and session timings, competitors will be given a skippers briefing time.
Daymer bay
Daymer BAY has been the home of the Kernow foil classic since 2023. A very special location tucked into the camel estuary, daymer benefits from a right hand point break which connects into a wide beach break offering a ride which lasts up to 3 minutes with various different sections.
The 1st choice location of the prone and wing competition, this high tide venue requires a specific condition forecast of strong Northwesterly wind and swell energy.

Gwithian
A well know location regularly on the surf and windsurf event calendar, gwithian is an exposed bay which breaks predictably in small and large sized swell.
With several breaks to choose from this location can offer a rolling wave which leads into a more critical right and left hander.
Facing WNW, Gwithian Working best at lower tides, this will be the most likely location for the wing competition in the prevailing westerly wind and waves.

‘The Bluff’ / Hayle Rivermouth
the entrance to Hayle Harbour is a deep and narrow channel with steeply shelving sandbars either side.
Known as ‘the bluff’, the mouth offer a left and right hand break which rolls along the bank with a predictable shoulder leading to a flat water path back out.
a high tide location, the bluff needs a solid swell from the West or North to properly break. SW, W, NE, N winds work for winging.

overlooking the picturesque St Michaels mount, Marazion is on the south coast and a classic local beach break.
exposed to southerly swells and Easterly winds it is an option for the event if an unusual weather pattern pushes through
