ABOUT THE COMP

the competition for wing and prone will involve both ‘elite’ and ‘amateur’ mens and womens divisions which will both be professionally scored by a panel of judges and managed by beach marshals.

The Elite division will score the best 1-2 waves in back to back 4-person, 10-15 minute heats with priority ruling. leaders will progress through a repechage ladder to a final.

The Amateur division will be scored on overall impression in 30-40 minute heats of 8-10 riders with leaders progressing to a final and losers given a second chance round to join them.

Sup downwind racing will feature for the first time in 2025 as an invitational ‘showcase/trial’ event.

‘THE F-ONE Prone Competition’

Prone/surf Foiling is categorised by the rider paddling into a wave in a laid position then popping up and rising onto foil to ride that wave or pump back out and connect onto another, or multiple waves.

Riders will be judged on the speed, power, flow, positioning and technicality whilst riding.

Prone riders are not permitted to use assistance from a wing, paddle or motor.
